Set and costume designer, Master of Arts in East/West Theatre, Karin is best known for her eclectic blend of Chinese and Western aesthetic in cross-cultural projects. Karin has won the Silver Medal Award in the Costume Design category at the prestigious “World Stage Design 2005 - An International Exhibition of Set, Costume, Lighting, Sound Design” with her creative work in the productions Pinocchio and Journey to the West. She was also chosen to represent Hong Kong at the “Prague Quadrennial 2003 - The 10th International Exhibition of Scenography and Theatre Architecture”, one of the only four selected for that honour.
Karin has been equally devoted to education in her career. She gave lectures in the course ‘the Concept of Costume Design in Stage Art’ in the Drama Scheme for Tertiary Students and is a panel member of the Career Oriented Curriculum Programme for Hong Kong Secondary Schools appointed by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation.
